GAS’BOT NANO: SEMPA SYSTEMS presents Ultra-Compact Gas Supply System for the Semiconductor Industry
Maximum Performance with a Minimal Footprint – Developed for High-Throughput Fabs
Dresden, March 3, 2026 – With the GAS’BOT NANO, SEMPA SYSTEMS expands its proven GAS’BOT family with an ultra-compact, fully automated gas supply system for the semiconductor industry. The new system has been specifically developed for high-volume fabs, where maximum performance, highest safety standards, and efficient use of space are critical.
Maximum Performance with a Minimal Footprint
The GAS’BOT NANO is a space-saving, PLC-automated system for the supply of bulk and specialty gases. Thanks to its state-of-the-art dimensions, it can be seamlessly integrated into existing sub-fab environments. With a significantly reduced width, the system provides higher gas delivery capacity per square meter of footprint compared to conventional solutions. This makes the GAS’BOT NANO ideal for both greenfield projects and retrofit installations in existing facilities with limited space.
Whether for new construction or modernization, the GAS’BOT NANO complies with industry-standard dimensions, including established gas connection routing. Existing systems can therefore be replaced quickly and without complex infrastructural modifications – a decisive advantage in tightly scheduled production environments.
Intelligent Automation for Maximum Availability and Safety
Technologically, the system is based on a modern Siemens PLC platform. This ensures long-term reliability as well as flexible adaptation to different fab requirements. Additional common industrial communication protocols are also supported, enabling easy integration into existing monitoring and control systems. Predefined routines and a clear HMI enable intuitive operation, efficient alarm handling, and maximum operational transparency.
Special emphasis has been placed on system availability: The optimized internal layout improves accessibility to all relevant components. Service and maintenance work can therefore be carried out more quickly, reducing downtime and increasing overall equipment efficiency. At the same time, the GAS’BOT NANO offers a wide range of optional features that allow the system to be tailored precisely to specific technical and budgetary requirements, including gas, smoke, and UV/IR sensors, overpressure protection, and SEMI S2 compliance.
“With the GAS’BOT NANO, we are setting new standards for compact gas supply systems in semiconductor manufacturing. Our customers are under enormous pressure to increase efficiency – both in terms of space utilization and availability and safety. The GAS’BOT NANO combines exactly these requirements in a forward-looking solution and strengthens our position as an innovation partner for modern fab infrastructures,” explains Dr. Jörg Koch, Managing Director of SEMPA SYSTEMS GmbH. “At the same time, over the past year we have doubled our production space and manufacturing capacities.
